I designed this frame when I was 17, for a few reasons. I wanted to have the biggest fpv drone in town. Now, I'm the only drone pilot in my town so that wasn't very hard.
I've always loved deadcat frames, the way they fly, the way they look, but most importantly they have no props in view. Even this behemoth doesn't have a single bit of prop or TPU anywhere in the gopro superview frame. pretty cool right?
I took inspirations from a few smaller frame designs and carefully crafted this monstrous quad that looks like a 5" scaled to beast class. I like to call it the BB - 13. The naming came from the abbreviation to my childhood nickname... you can guess but I will bever confirm nor deny. This thing has a top speed over 200kmh(124mph) and can cruise at over 100kmh(62mph).
I designed this frame to run with a few different options for batteries, in either a 2x 6s 6000mAh to make a 12s1p 6000mAh or with 6x 5" sized 6s 1300mAh packs to make 12s3p with an effective 12s 3900mAh. Holding a 60mph cruise, 6x 6s 1300 can fly for about 10 minutes, covering 10 miles of distance, and holding a 60mph cruise with 2x 6s 6000 allows me to cruise for about 15 minutes covering 15 miles of land. This may not seem impressive but keep in mind I'm only carrying lipos... on a freestyle quad with triblades.
This beauty flies like a dream and is easily my favorite freestyle quad to this day.
Even inspiring me to expand my BB frame line, now with 4 designs made and 3 more in progress.
