Hot Hatch - A 4" O3 Freestyle Platform

I believe O3 unlocks the freestyle potential of 3-4" quads but I've long been troubled by other O3 freestyle platforms overly long ass aka fuselage. Damn DJI for gigantic VTXs, or damn us for lack of space management?

Entering Hot Hatch: One simple trick of drilling two more sets of mounting holes front and back (see them in pic 2), now we have a frame that can comfortably swallow most 5" mini stacks (you can put the aikon 50A in it, not the Foxeer Reaper 66A though) and a O3 Air Unit, without its ass poking out (Pic 5).

Coming in at 70g with 4mm arms and a 172mm large wheelbase, it can fit 3.5-4" props with no props in view. It strikes a good balance of weight, durability, components compatibility, and maybe coolness.

Bonus points: the hatch design from Ummagawd Remix V2 simplifies maintenance (gotta pay homage to my favorite frame of all time), and the core locking mechanism inspired by Ryan Harrell's QAVS-V2 stiffens the frame while making arm swap a breeze.

Recognize the plaided seat? You already know what it is.

How do you like the pair-o-whips' antenna setup on the 03? I have been considering it on my 3.5"

Way better than the stock on 3.5", lighter, much more durable, range is fine for micros.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
