What is the 5v step-down regulator for? Doesn't the f3 have 5v pads? Pretty new to all this stuff.

Do you have a flight video? I will be building almost the same quad, same frame, motors, esc's and flight controller and i would like to know how it flies! Thanks in advance.

They seem like the best value out there at the moment. At least they aren't red like their little brothers :)

Kwippy   Feb 06, 2017

They have them in every single color i do believe

Whiffles   Feb 06, 2017

Aha! That they do. Good to know!

What other parts would I need to build this? It's my first build.

Kwippy   Jan 16, 2017

Goggles or a headset of some kind, a radio and rx, some batteries, a charger, and some props

HangryPug   Jan 14, 2017

What kind of battery would you recommend for this build?

Whiffles   Jan 15, 2017

I'd check the batteries section. Anything that's 1300 or 1500mah should do the trick.

Kwippy   Jan 15, 2017

Agreed 1300 or a 1500

Whiffles   Jan 08, 2017

Nice work on the price! Looks like a solid starter build. What props are you running?

Kwippy   Jan 08, 2017

Right now just the King Kong 5x4x3 for some cheap practice ones. Looking into HQ 5x4x3

I'm running Dal 5040 V2s on my 5" rig and they've been fine for the most part. I'm considering trying the HQ 5040 Duraspec's though. I've heard good thing about HQ.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
