Haven't flown yet, but it looks like it will be a fun little guy. Had a lot of issues with the FC during setup. Turns out that they send a 5V regulator with it that you have to solder on. After I figured that out, it was smooth sailing for the build.

Update: Flew through 6 packs last night and it flies like a champ. Just need to do a little bit of tuning now. I think this is now my favorite quad in my fleet.

Hi -- Do you know what weight is with and without battery? Trying to finalize <250Gram build.

I don't remember what the weight was without battery. With battery it was 260g. That could be easily brought down to under 250 by using a smaller VTX and shorter antenna.

Nice build! Falcon 130 is tons of fun, there wasn't anything like it when we designed it, so it holds a special place in my fleet. I still have one I fly, with the same nasty RCX 1407s on it with shot bearings. It flies great still!

Nice job keeping the price down. I can't help but notice a slight bulge between your boards. Maybe you need to add a nut to each screw to increase that gap slightly?

I added in some longer standoffs so there is no more pressure on any of the boards. It flies beautifully. I had a blast going through 6 batteries last night.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
