Catalyst MachineWorks Speed Addict 210-R

Weighed in at 315 built, and AUW of 465g with the Batterry.

For being a tight frame the build was easy using the included PDB. They had great detailed PDF build instructions on there site, for any time i wanted to reference something. Catalyst has been awesome to deal with. They answered all my questions before i purchased, and have provided me great support since then.

I did add my own touch and CA'd the edges, followed by some orange trim on the outer horizontal carbon edges, and FC. I used orange heat-shrink for the ESCs, and OSD. I also made an antenna, that i sleeved in an orange paracord.

UPDATED:
So a few weeks passed, and i swapped the ESC's out for KISS 24A ESCs and the KISS FC is next. The KISS ESCs are definitely nice, and have nice throttle response.

So far the frame and build have taken a pretty good beating and i've now twice had the DAL TriBlade props blow up on me mid flight as full throttle. The look fine, until they aint fine! I also had a few slipped magnets in my batch of cobras, so i've replaced one, and still have one spare. I've seen allot of other motors come to market since i started buying the parts for this build, and the KISS products were the first step.

All these 210s have got me thinking about building one myself. What do you think about my proposed build?

sorry just seeing this now: Without knowing all your goals for the build, ie budget, build exp, intended usage(go pro or not) . I'll give you my quick .02 (not really worth that much, but hey you asked)

I'm unfamiliar with the actual usage of the flip32 but after moving to sbus and f3 flight controllers, i would'nt go back. As for motors and esc, again im not real familiar with the king kongs, but if your looking for a less expensive purchase, look at the MyRcMart.com - rcx-2205/2350 little bee's combo. Roughly same price, as your current motor esc combo, and ive seen plenty of good things on these motors.

Also, you want parts you can easily get and replace. Having parts that many different vendors carry goes a long way.

The camera i would look at the standard HS1177 since its a 210 you can run a regular size cam, not sure as to why go for a tiny cmos version.

Hope that was useful.

My goal is to build something small that I can carry around to most places to shoot with my Yi at a budget. I've got the Turnigy 9X, so I need to figure out a good solution for a small RX and how to interface with my FC. Do you mean this combo? I've heard good things about RCX.

The reason for the tiny cmos camera is I happen to have it. I got it at BG for $2 with a coupon.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
