I wanted to build a very light weight Speed Addict Superlight 3" that is still running 1407 motors and 4S battery. The flight controller stack has OSD built into the FC board and a 20 amp 4 in 1 that supports DShot600.

Update: the esc in this stack does not seem to hold up to 4S. Planning to replace with a RF Millivolt and Spark.

Update: Flight controller and ESC has been replaced with Raceflight Millivolt and Spark. This board and ESC combo requires a capacitor on the power leads. It flies great now and it only added a few grams to switch to the RF1 board.

Nice build, mine is very similar. How is the spark holding up?

You started your build with the Mini Brushless F3 Flight Control System but looks like you changed it. Any particular reason? I was looking at building something similar to this and was just curious what prompted the change.

I really liked the Mini Brushless F3 FC, but the ESC wasn't up to handling 4S. I went through 2 of the ESC's, each lasted about a minute of flight. I'm seeing a lot of people having the same issue running 4S on that same combo.

I would maybe look at the HGLRC stack for something similar, I've heard some people are having good luck with it on 4S. I may try it on a future build. It doesn't have OSD though.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
