Unfortunately not, I got the basics first, waiting on my next paycheck :)
I'm planning on a Foxeer monster camera with Eachine 840x480 goggles and a 25/200/600mW Eachine VTX, but I'm very much open to suggestions. Ideally budget for Fpv below $200, which I know is hella low budget.
I'm having trouble fitting everything in de TX5 Chimp frame, so choose your parts carefully :) I'm still waiting on the Foxeer Monster V2 camera to arrive, that's when I'll know it will fit or not. I had to de-case the TGY-iA6C receiver because it's to bulky. If it wont fit I probably also have to de-pin it to save space. Will keep you updated and add photo's to my build soon!
Totally! It's definitely cramped. I was warned it's not the most ideal beginner build but it looked too cool to pass up :)
Yeah I was told the receiver was gonna need to be de-cased and de-pinned because those two take up a LOT of valuable space. With the VTX and camera taking up space, I'm still not sure where I'm gonna permanently place the receiver... Maybe heatshrink it and stack over another PCB somewhere, we'll see!
Definitely keep me updated, I'm interested to see how yours turns out!
It's only got a 480x272px resolution and I don't believe it's true diversity. The EV800 has a much higher resolution and includes a battery. You'd probably be fine with it, but I think the better resolution is worth $10 more.
From the "click here for more details" link in the product description: "it is not the Diversity circle, but has similar function, and improved 5.8Ghz RX performance"
You're both right. It's the same as the Eachine VR008. I just heard so much buzz about it at the beginning of the year that I was wondering why Whiffles recommended something else. Research FTW!
No FPV gear?

The Eachine EV800 is on sale for $55 for the next several hours. You won't do better than that for a cheap starter headset.
Awesome, I'll check it out, thanks!

What do you think about the FuriBee VR01? It's diversity and on sale for $44.99 on Gearbest.com. Is there a reason you would prefer the EV800 over them?

Yeah it has pretty low resolution. The diversity is a plus for sure, but it also doesn't come with a battery.
I'll add it to my wishlist still, thanks for showing me!
I'd research the diversity because I don't believe it's true diversity.

So not diversity
