This is my first build. I was inspired by the HyperLow low profile designs and thin arms. It took some time for me to kit everything, since I am new this hobby. I wanted to keep the FC , 4in1 ESC, and motor wires within the body of the quad to keep the low profile and thin look. I also designed a battery fairing that attaches to the existing GoPro mount to use when I'm not flying with a GoPro. The battery tucks into the fairing, which hides a lot of the wires and gives the quad a more aerodynamic look. I also Blinged it out with some aluminum hardware and green accessories! Alt Tag

I built this quad from the bottom up as opposed to building it from the top down, like others do. This may have been backwards, but I wanted to be able to remove the top plate and work on it or inspect it, and it also made it easier for me to configure and wire everything. The 4in1 ESC and FC are isolated from the bottom plate by soft O rings and plastic washers. The battery and top plate are also not attached to the FC stack to help isolate the FC. This seems to work pretty well, since I've been able to remove all of the filters in BF and my motors don't get hot at all. The build was a lot of fun and the bird flys great!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
