My previous build was 4" Bangon and after few tweeks it seems great, but I like to try something smaller. Plan was to include propeller guards and 2s for indoor use, but mainly designed for small outdoor spaces.
With maiden fligt done I can say that it was under powered until I removed propeller guards and select light 2s battery (31g). With 3s it can handle propeller guards and 54g battery quite nicely. Well, nice park flier, but not for indoors. If I burn these motors (Racerstar Racing Edition BR1103B 8000KV 1-3S) , I will propably get something little more powerful.
ps. At cheap Flight Controller ( MAMBA F405 Mini) all cables must be soldered, no connectors. With my skills result is ugly cable mess :-)
UPDATE:
Ok. I burned motor almost immediately. And at same time I burned 4in1 ESC from other build. I dismatled this one and used this flight stack to other build. When I finally got new motors (MAMBA 1105 5500KV 2-4S), I rebuilt this with new fight stack ( LDARC/Kingkong KK12 KK Flytower), new motors and different camera. Part list updated and some new pictures added. Build is now much nicer (not so much ugly soldering). I will report how it flies ;-)
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
