And just when you thought that I was done at Crococopter...

Why "Cinepoop"?

Because it's a 3D Printed Cinewhoop. And, in all honesty, it might or might not be total crap until proven either way.

So I took the wonderful Tankette 3D model by Crisscross FPV and completely redesigned it. As I wanted to use the spare 1806 motors I had, the motor struts had to bear much more load. The height of the ducts also had to go up from 20mm to 25mm, the duct lips had to change, the camera had to move to the front and so on... I do plan on releasing a Tankette remix to Thingiverse with all of my changes once I smooth out all of the kinks I find.

Test-printing and redesigning the model was really the hardest and most time-consuming part of the build, while assembly was really quite simple. The other very tricky step was cutting the props to a perfect balance and the Prop Cutter by Andy Shen helped immensely.

All in all, this was a nice proof-of-concept and I'm happy to report that the thing actually flies. I've maidened it both LOS and FPV, but much better videos are coming! Subscribe to my YouTube channel to not miss those: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfM3TUfWPVMtlXHlyXlkFyg?sub_confirmation=1

It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
