After seeing a build here (but can't find it anymore) I decided to give it a try. I wanted something under 250g (with batteries) and I ended up exactly at 250!

This was a painful experience, very small parts and not much space to work with. I built it last winter but only been able to fly it recently. Very smooth ride, I like it very much!

Things I would change, I used XT60 connectors because that's what I had in my stuff, but I would replace them with XT30. The camera is simply beautiful but I might be tempted with the new combo camera/DVR.

Not shown in the picture, I've cut the spektrum binding plug and used Betaflight to bind.

Overall, very happy but this is the smaller I will build, I can't see as well as I use to and it was frustrating to solder some of these components!

Hah! I also rip a 3" Sparrow (stretched) on F20II's (I run 'em on he F20A T-Motor ESCs), but I too absolutely LOVE HGLRC stacks (especially the pin block connector ones like this, the F413 and the F440). Very nice build.

Thanks! I so love this build, for such a small thing it's really amazing and fun to fly!

Great looking frame/motor/prop combo! Your antenna tubes are probably at least twice as long as they can really be. I love the look, but in sporty maneuvers they will bend down into your props and get cut :(

Yes, they are long, I did cut them since I took the picture (removed about 1/3) they are actually really rigid and would probably break before bending. Anyway I wouldn’t like hitting a gate with these!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
