I set out to build something my girlfriend could learn to fly on. She's afraid of my 5" and I couldn't bear to put her on a whoop. I knew this had to be the answer. Turns out, she's still afraid to fly it. The first day out she had a little bit of a scare (almost a flyaway) and won't pick it up again. Oh well, I enjoy it either way.

other than adding the rubber washers, did you do anything special to isolate your VTX on the adapter? did you use steel screws? you can't fit gummies in there, right?

Love the effect of your pic with this glass table and color reflection from beneath

The joints were perfect when I built it initially and I ended up taking the whole thing apart and reworking it because I lost ESC tones. I rushed to get it back together after I found the problem with it. I'm going to 3D print some prop guards for it when I get the time. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
