My first "true" build and this little guy almost wasn't.  Fortunately I fumbled my way through and sorted out a crazy amp draw issue.  I'm talking 23A at hover, MASSIVE voltage sag and scorching hot motors after only about 30 seconds.  But also only on 3s.  My goal from the onset was to run it on 3s and anything short of that was failure.  Anywho, it turned out the solution was BF 4.1.4.  And to get that working correctly I had to swear a lot and accidentally update BF configurator to 10.6.

The only other real snag I ran into was the c-clips on the Dab's were making contact with the frame, so I just dremeled out the center motor holes with a conical grinding bit.

After a couple of test flights on only 30C batteries, that the performance exceeding my expectations is an understatement.  The response, speed and of course, punch-outs are nothing short of shocking.

80c 3s's in the mail.  More to come.

Update 3/2/20: I was not prepared. The thrust is unbelievable. Making repairs now (lol) and will adjust throttle limit (way) more. This is my current favorite in the fleet.

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
