3-inch Sector132 FalcoX 4K with Cinematic Stabilization Tips! #MicroLongRange🤩

I bought HGLRC Sector132 4K BNF hoping to have some 4K whooping but unfortunately, the HGLRC Zeus F4 AIO FC has a faulty ESC. Therefore, I rebuild my Sector132 with some spares parts that I have in my inventory.

The dry weight is 148g so I decided to remove the props protector and just use the 3 inch props for this build.
With GNB 4s 850mAh lipo (112g), I get around 7-8 mins of cruising flight time.

Following video is my first flight, I did not do any hard ripping. No color grade done to see Caddx Tarsier 4k 30fps recording performance and microphone on for motors sound analysis. Sorry that this is just an FPV cruising as it is early in the morning with puddles of water in the grass field. So, I can't risk my newly build quad with freestyle maneuvers.

To get smooth cinematic footages without a GoPro, you will need to do some post-stabilization and following video are the comparison of some video editors stabilization features in the market:

  • DaVinci Resolve (FREE!) vs
  • PowerDirector vs
  • Filmora (Free with watermark)

Sorry, I have money for FPV but no money for Adobe Premiere.

After testing different video editors, I find that DaVinci Resolve has the best post-stabilization with creating much weird artifacts. PLUS this software is FREE! However, there are different algorithms and settings for their stabilization feature and following video are a comparison between the different stabilization algorithms in DaVinci Resolve.

Hope these comparison videos helps!

Hello, is it possible to include the prop guards on this build?

Regards

Since I am using 3" props, so i cannot use the prop guards that comes with this frame. I bought a separated prop guards that is meant for 3" props.

That is really nice footage you get from the Tarsier and looks really stable after the software stabilisation, i am impressed!

Do you use any other means of physically stabilising the Tarsier to the frame? Or just the two 3D printed arms that come with the drone?

I'm using the mount that comes with the frame...

It's cool! You make it in a manageable way

yes! it is kinda heavy so definately not for freestyling. I use it mostly as a cinematic cruising.

Is that just a cool looking plug in your USB port, or is it actually an antenna? It looks cool with the concentric circles

It is just a magnetic USB connector for easy connection to my computer. Some FC have really fragile USB connector, so during testing phase, I have a habit of plugging in this magnetic USB connector to minimize the plugging in and out process which will risk the USB connector from broken off. Joshua Bardwell use this technique too.

If you have a broken USB connector, it will be hard to solder back and I use following technique to configure my FC which is very cumbersome. Hope these infomation helps! Happy Flying!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
