This is the first build that I'm "releasing" on the Gen 5 WarPig platform. The main changes for the Gen 5 is to make the frame a little mote robust to tolerate noisier or higher power builds. This particular build repurposes the 1202.5 11500kv motros for 2S with the Gemfan 2015 props. With a 550 size battery this setup has an incredible balance of punchout and proximity control with decent huckability. With the revised frame and clean props, I'm able to use incredibly low filtetirng with high D gains and greatly improve the prop wash handling where these props typically struggle. The main trade off on this build is flight time and prop durabilty. I'm getting about 3-3:30 on GNB yellow label 530 and 3:30-4 on Tattu R-line 550. The props are essentially one and done with any harder crashes.

This build uses the new TuneRC Poly F405, which is flying very well so far.

Oh, and frames are now available on CNCdrones

Frame: 114 mm MTM, 3 mm thick or 2.5 mm

Frame Weight: 7:3 gm (3 mm aproximately)

Dry weight: 45 gm

Recommeded batteries: Tattu R-line 550 or GNB yellow label 530.

Awesome image frame! Every time I see one, I want to create a 3D print that can be bent into a flounder shape.

This frame is SO cool!! Every time I see one, I want to design a cool 3D print that bends into shape, after printing flat as a flounder.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
