Love this build! What does the frame weigh? And your build?
Loving the pod design! Definitely gonna order one of these frames. :) Where's that PDB from though?
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Is that a foam core top-plate? Any problems with durability for your plates? To save a couple of grams (maybe 3?), I just ordered ten of your bottom plates (lite 1mm version) to replace those on my 4" & 5" Adam Wilkinson's quads (also on armattan) which also use a 30.5 / 20 mm stack arrangement. My quads have 4mm thick arms @ 4gr each for the 4" and 4.7gr for the 5" (seem light enough), but the plates are really thick and solid @ 3gr which I think needlessly adds weight. I really like your 1mm plate design - any idea on durability or weight? (I'll find out soon enough ;) Also, I was curious if you have weights on your 3" and 4" arms? (maybe I'll upgrade those too!) Thanks for making your parts available on Armattan!
Sorry I took 25 days to reply (I'm not very active on here anymore). Its cool that youve found some use for my centre plates on a different quad! The top plate on my build is actually a power distribution board made of fiber glass. Foam core plates would be cool because solid carbon or solid fiber glass plates are more durable than they need to be on a 3 inch I reckon. Unfortunately I cant remember any exact weights of my parts but I think the 3 inch arms were around 1.5g.
I got your top & bottom plates and weighed them @ 1.31 grams each (weight averaged over 4 plates). This has saved me almost 3 grams on my Adam frame! Thanks for making these available on Armattan. In the small chance you might be willing, I was hoping you could offer your 3" arms with screw holes for 11xx motors (I want to install 1108 motors)... I guess I can dream ;)
