First mini quad build.

Goals

Learn how to build a quad. Learn how to fly it. Do some freestyle/acro.

Priorities

• (relatively) quiet: 6"
• long(er) flight times: bigger battery, efficient motors
• crashability (unibody may be suboptimal, but lifetime warranty is handy)
• features.

I'd like to play with All The Features so I can figure out what I like. Hence the FC with current sensor and OSD, the Tramp that can be configured via OSD and also have an audio-in, and FrSky Rx with telemetry.

Eagle 2 for dynamic range and 16:9 aspect ratio to the Aomway Commander (once they're in stock again, grr).

Tramp and not Unify because it's SmartAudio-like thing is separate from the audio-in (so I can get audio from the quad) and it's smaller compared to the Unify's that run off vbat.

TODO

• Find Chameleon top plate dimensions to see what batteries fit nicely. Seems like the thunder power 1800mah is only 70mm long.
• Does the Eagle 2 fit in the Chameleon? Do I need the other type of cam mount?
  • RCGroups post on the "eagle". not sure if that's the eagle 2 or original eagle...
  • Armattan has this brace for 3 hole cams. The description says "The Runcam case still might be a little tight, since it is 0.5mm wider than the Foxeer cases, but you should be able to squeeze it enough to fit." Hmm...
• Decide on FC: Betaflight F3 or CL Racing F4
  • CL Racing F4 on rcgroups, Armattan YT vid
  • RCGroups: wiring to minimize vid noise
• How to wire VTx and FPV cam? Tramp manual says it should use vbat. Tramp also provides regulated 5V. Better for FPV cam to run off that or the 7.6V BEC from the CL FC?
• Is the Oomph 2206 2300kv too much for 6" props? Would something like the Lumenier 2206 2000kv be better? The Oomphs seem efficient, but can the quad handle the current draw? MQTB hasn't tested the velvets yet, but the "standard" 2206 2300kv had Avg Max current draw of 36.88A at 100% throttle with HQ 6x4.5.
  • ESCs: The Armattan 30A ESCs don't list their burst rating but it's probably fine..
  • Battery: 37A * 4 motors = 148A. A 1800mAh battery would need to support >82C burst; 1300mAh battery would need >114C The Thunder Power 1800mAh 55C should be able to handle that.
