A local buddy donated a GT2 200 frame for me to design a little "helmet" to protect his fpv camera. He had been through more than a few cam's, so I told him I would give it a whirl.
I wasnt flying the space one 220x much, so I literally transplanted the build to the GT2 (with a little trimming and tweaking of the motor power wires).
The stack was a little tricky and took some trial and error. I ended up just sending some longer m3 screws through a little TPUstack pad I drew up and printed, then through an o-ring, through the dtfc, through another o-ring, through the frame, to the battery plate. I then zip tied the unify pro v2 and x4r-sb to the tpu stack pad.
I ran some extra leads from the battery pads to a 1000 uF low esr cap under the right rear arm.
You can see some design pics, renders of the frame and pod, and some sample prints and fitments in the photos section.

Wondering if you ever designed a helmet for the low profile side plates that come stock on the ARF Crusader GT200 2016 model?
It’s hard to get the 2016 high profile side plates nowadays, and since I have 2 GT200 2016 models, would love to buy a helmet that can support the low profile.
Any chance i could get the STL for the helmet?
No sorry the files will remain closed for now. You can purchase them on my website: http://innov83d.com
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I know you won't want to give your STL files away for the Helmet but how about the base plate? - I seem to burn through motors and thought some motor mounts might help but can't seem to make them fit very well, can I use your CAD model as a starting point?
