My first multirotor build:

Had some problems on the first steps:

  • frame does support very small power distribution boards,
  • frame had no mounting points where i can screw PDB, FC and other stuff on,
  • frame does not support FPV cams with large lenses

It's a very nice frame, with a canopy that looks cool and protects the electronic, with and A, instead an X arm positioning, but it's not the easiest to build on.

Then i had problems with betaflight, because of the omnibus F7 board and the wraight32 ESCs.
Dshot hd not worked and i thought it was a building problem or a broken FC. But it was only a problem of betaflight 3.2, that was fixed with 3.2.1.

I had a problem regarding the LEDs mounted under the motors. Can't get them working correctly. Had thought it was a problem with cheap WS2812 LEDs from asia, but then i found that it's a hardware related problem with the omnibus f7 flight controller. Had to remap led strip output to another pinout to get it working.

To get shot buzzer command working i had to flash the latest (unstable) firmware from github to the ESCs. Now i can activated buzzer with AUX channel from my transmitter.

Dshot turtlemode does not work well, because of the long arms and the low height of the frame. If the lies on the top it's not possible to turn it around with turtle mode. :-(

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
