My third build - original intention was to build the fastest and most durable 2" micro that I could. The Emax RS1106's are the obvious choice for motors, and for the frame, I opted to get the recently released Cerberus Micro. Compared to past frames micro that I've used, this frame is in another league in terms of strength and general build quality (top of mind are the super stiff 2.5 mm carbon with chamfered edges and clever design) at the cost of some additional weight (25 g vs 10 g for the Ascent V2 that I built). Unfortunately, the motors have let me down a bit with two of them having bad bearings which has put off my maiden by a week or so. Nonetheless, will report back with initial impressions.

On a side note, I have to acknowledge that this build is basically the same as Skittles by percisely, albeit his is cleaner :) (and honestly it was exactly the build I wanted)

Update - RIP, lost in service. Struck a ghost branch doing some high speed proximity flying which spun it into a big clump of branches where it remains. Will continue efforts to recover, but for now, it is presumed gone forever.

Hey, that's nice!

Oh $#*% you

Wish I'd gone with the Sparrow, and I'm switching from the dipole to an AXII... The frame is amazing. Bashed it into a backboard today and flew away.

Well god dammit. Misread, made jackass comment trying to be a smart-ass, can't edit here, apparently. Yours is cleaner... Especially now.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
