I discovered the world of miniquads while browsing 3d designs after I built my 3D printer, and I immediately knew I wanted to make one myself. Now, half a year later (mostly due to chinese shipping and bad parts) I have something I'm happy with.

The most intersting part of this build in my opinion is the 3d printed frame. It's an 210 sized frame weighing a little under 100 grams. I have tried to do some things that would be difficult with a carbon fiber frame, like having the esc's vertical inside the arms for less area under the props.
The main body in black is printed in ABS, while not the strongest material, it's easy to print and what I had at hand. I have tried to increase the strength further by melting/smoothing the other layers with acetone vapor.
The pod is printed in PLA. I would really liked it to be TPU, but right now I can't print it, though I'm waiting on a new extruder that can do it.

I have not got to fly it yet due to terrible weather, but I will update the build when I do.

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
