This is a full build using all parts from the subscription box "FPV Crate".
The inaugural box provided the frame. It seems sturdy, and provides plenty of room for electronics.
Next came the flight controller, followed by the ESC & LEDs. A decent stack that goes together with one harness. Using the corners of the FC to power the LEDs requires extra soldering.
The fourth shipment included the whole video system. I opted for an SMA rather than the supplied MMCX.
Motors were the last to show up and complete the build. Not much to note about them yet.
All said and done, the first five crates cost $320. They yielded a nicely rounded quad. Throw in 10 sets of props, a couple shirts, hat, and a small bunch other random items, I feel there was value to the subscription.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

How would this fly for a intermediate drone pilot? I'm interested in this drone and would like to fly it. Previously I used to have a similar drone until I snapped a boom off of the frame and crashed it. I may have had too much weight on my frame and it snapped, hence why im asking how heavy this drone is and how it flies.
I am only intermediate myself, but I'd expect it to feel a little light without the GoPro. Haven't had the right day to gave it a real flight. As pictured, this is 650g, but without the camera I think its average.
