Triple Helix 2020 cinewoop

The students of Triple Helix Robotics, the FIRST Robotics team at Menchville HS, Newport News, VA, built quadcopters as a socially distanced activity. We fly these quads at the Peninsula STEM Gym, where we have our practice field.

To be suitable for safe indoor flying, and for easier learning by beginners, we built cinewoops. To keep down costs, transplanted all the motors and electronics from a Tyro79 kit onto a Reptile Cloud 149HD frame. There are a smattering of 3D printed parts. To top things off, we used Gemfan 5 bladed cinewoop props.

As a mentor, I did a good bit of extra customization on my version, including 3D printed ducts, and camera mounts for a GoPro Session and Hero 9. This prints can be found at the link Thingiverse account.
