I wanted to see how far I could push a 1s lipo and I had the motors laying around for over a year waiting on a nano tri-copter build that wasn't happening anytime soon and when I saw these props on PYRO I thought I'd try something with them. So I put the nano LR frame on a diet and added some 2mm carbon rod for arms, frame weight was 5.6g in abs, carbon was cut 120mm for the front and 70mm for the back two. The gps is a bn-180 with the shield, connector and antenna removed using rg-316 center cable for a dipole, 49mm signal wire and 92mm end to end, It gets 10+ sats reliably. Rx is a 2.4 ELRS nano diversity with 29mm enamel wire antennas and shield taken off the esp, the range seems great, RX is DIY made by me, as is my ELRS lite module
On a yellow 600mah GNB it will fly for 10 minutes at an AUW of 45.75g, harder flying on the 600mah gave me about 6-7 minutes with the new RDQ 850 it would probably go 12-13 minutes in a long range flight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-Xw54VlyDw&t=443s Enamel wire antennas suck maybe if they had better LOS instead of poking out through wire under the FC. 50mw 250hz 1.1km while sitting, a fence inbetween and the sprinklers on at the golf course. Also 15+mph headwind on the way back was fun haha
nice!
that board is bad quality, hopefully it holds for your use and you dont loose your quad because of beta-quality :-/
It seems to be fine so far and it held up in a 75mm whoop for about a good year or so before this build. I know Beta has pretty crappy qc and just quality in general but, hopefully with no vtx hooked to the vreg and no onboard RX it might hold up. It didn't seem to have any problem on the way back in the video I just posted and I was pushing it pretty hard for the return trip into the wind
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
