Quentin - 2.5 inch cinewhoop

Here is my 2.5 inch cinewhoop based on a frame of my design, fully 3D printed.

I first bought a beta95 x v3 frame to recycle parts from a 3-inch quad that I no longer used. I had at that time a Caddx Peanut which has since passed away. Moreover, this cinewhoop flew very badly, so I abandoned it.

Finally I bought a Runcam Thumb pro v2 and decided to design a new frame, stiffer and better suited to my components.
The motors are in the 4800kv version, with a 85% throttle limit.
I'm happy with the result, the frame is a little heavier but its rigidity and the improved airflow compared to the old frame offer better flight characteristics without penalizing the flight time (3 to 4 minutes without abusing the battery).

But the video reception was very bad, so I just replaced the vtx which had been abused during its first life in the 3-inch racer (antenna ripped off during a crash), and I added a quality antenna, which we can see on the 2nd photo. Now the video penetration is excellent !

The AUW final weight is exactly 200g.
Can't wait for the sun to come back to make a video !

frame looks super sturdy, design is clean, and I need that print file for the Thumb+FPV cam!

That looks beautiful! Your electronics organization is incredible!
I assume that the vibrations from the ducts, and camera mount are brutal. Please post all the updates you make, your work is absolutely top notch!!!

Glad you like it :)
I had jello during my first tries but I modified the camera support for better vibration filtering, now it's much better.
I don't think I'll make any other changes but as soon as I post a video I'll share the link !

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
