No fruit name for this one...taking a break from all that madness ; )

Basically an Ummagawd acrobrat...17 dollar bootleg frame from AliExpress. I saw this as a good start into 3 inch and also some YouTubers claiming it feels almost like 5 inch got me curious.

The motors are the cheapest.."never heard this brand name before" ...found on AliExpress

I know this was initially build to deal with runcam Swift Jell0 issues...but it was also created to have a 3 inch that feels more like 5 inch, so I thought it would be a good place to start with getting into 3 inch.

While building this weird frame I keep being reminded on how "dry mounting" is an essential part of my creative process, so I added some pics of that.

I also added a picture of a really "fun one"...of course that's meant sarcastically...problem, that came with the cheap motors I ordered for this build. Upon inspecting the four motors I found one to be a bit "squishy" when pushing down on it. After disassembling it I discovered that it was missing a small green O-ring...which was really unfortunate as it set me back either an unknown amount of weeks, ordering new motors from China or..and this is what I ended up doing --> ordering some standard O-rings from Amazon. In that picture I laid out an O-ring I had left from a larger..2207 motor I had laying around for comparison. I guess at 6 dollars a motor I got what I paid for

Ok.. Amazon to the rescue! I found the right o-rings. Hopefully the motors will run smooth with these... fingers crossed.

Placing the Vista did turn out to be a little bit tricky, because of it's width, but it mounted very nicely on the top plate...so I'm trying it this way. The only drawback is that this pushes out the FC to the front, but I think it'll work.

Just finished the build last night and hover tested it this afternoon, looks good so far

Thanks and shout outs to TheDronanaut and Jayembee67 for sponsoring the 3D prints and .stl files.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
