Hi here is my design the Ripple 4. After the 4B version (beast for 2204 /5S) this one is the light one for 1407 to 1608 motors.
The final weight is 163g with RCX 1707 3200Kv motors. With 1407 the build can be as low as 140g. This quad fly increadibly well. My version use 3.5mm carbone wich is the sweet spot i think. 3mm and 4mm plates are available at Armattan production. Complete frame with 3.5mm carbone is 35g.
The frame use 20x20 4/1 and FC stack, micro swift 2 and VTX03. I also made two small carbone parts to protect and install a cloverleaf.

Here is the rcgroups thread for the Ripple 4B and Ripple 4:

I thought Armattan was't allowing this to be produced, that's what was said in the Armattan thread. Has something changed?

I don't really know, seems to be on the site, i did not argue last time and accept because Armattan do what they want on their site, but sure i'm not agree, using aluminium vertical parts is not a patent, it's a constructive principle. We could find many designs like that, can we say they are all copies? Take for exemple a low profile frame, all are copies? The basic constructive principle with a single x plate, 4 columns and a top plate, how undred of frame exist like that, are they all copies???.............. If the plate is not available at Armattan, interrested people can contact me here or on the Rcgroups and i will make the production here in France, the plate will be produced in the day of the order and 3.5mm is available.

I agree with what you're saying, was just curious if it was still available.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
