Been enjoying flying micro-quads for awhile now, but only flying on 2S. I wanted to build a 3S quad that could scream around the park, but was small enough to fly in indoor spaces. I really liked the look of the Awesome 90 frame, but the camera mount was lacking, so I designed and printed my own top cover to hold the camera, mount the awkwardly shaped VTX03, and protect / encapsulate the electronics. What I built did not disappoint.
On 3S DragonFly can haul across the field in no time, and on 2S it is a pleasure to fly indoors or at a more relaxed pace. I can get 4-5 minute flight times with either battery while out-performing some of my larger builds.

Thanks! This is actually my second build of this drone. The first one used DYS 1104 5400kv motors (felt really locked in), but sadly the receiver died mid-flight and it is now resting at the bottom of the lake. I actually built a submersible camera using using a drone camera and some PVC to try and find it. I'll have to post that video some time.
Thats awesome that you have a 3s 2 inch build under 100g. I am thinking about building a 3s 2 inch with 1104 motors but most of the builds i seen run upwards of 110g. what makes yours so light?
Just guessing here, but the top cover makes a big difference. It doesn't weigh that much more than the supplied carbon fiber top plate, but it compensates for that by mounting the VTX and camera in it. This avoids using hot glue - which surprisingly weighs a lot when trying to mount a camera with it. It also helps that this build is using a combo FC/receiver boad
