Hi, Happy to show you my last design, the Vandal. May be the design i'm the most pround. There is almost no strait lines in the design, i put many attention to use sufficient material but only the needed at each location of the design, taking advantage of my experience due to my first job (Structure designer at Airbus). The result is an stiff but very light frame. I'm the first supprised by the result. 3 Versions are designed: 3" for 116/1304 motors (M2x9mm) at 18g for the complete frame 3" for 1407 motors (M2*12mm) at 23g 4" for 1407/1707 motors (M2*12mm) at 28g The designed aimed using M2 20x20 4/1 ESC + FC and a runcam micro or equivalent. The bottom plate receive directly the micro runcam bracket using oblong holes enabling to adjust the cam in all directions. Recommended columns are M3*24 keep reading..

this is my new ultra light 5" project the first build will be with the HGLRC stack but... if it frys or i need 5s ( or the titan lands ) the hobbywing Xrotor stack will go in 4mm quasi carbon base with a 210mm wheelbase and an aggressive stretched X ( any more and the props touch ) with the HGLRC stack the target weight is sub 200g it has mount holes for 30x30, 20x20 and in front the 16x16 for the xtv or though there is plenty of room for other units the top deck can run 10mm if you have something like an asgard or mount the ESCs on the arms, a 2 board stack will need 15mm and 20 or more is also not and issue.

My first attempt at an Owl didn't go so well. The Eachine FC is crap. The Racerstar ESC was hard to solder power leads to. And I ignored the recommendations of building it as a pusher style quad. I'm going to attempt to rebuild the Owl with slightly different parts and see how it goes.

I wanted to try making a Pocket Rocket. I also wanted another micro quad to mess around with, so I had a look around and the X2 ELF 88mm frame popped up. From there, I went to find the rest of the parts. I wanted a lot of power, so I went with 1106 motors on 3S. The size was small, obviously, so I had to go with a 20mm stack, deciding to give the Magnum F3 a shot, considering it's new and looks pretty decent. There are others on the market, but... Eh, this one is cheaper and I only need 12A ESCs. More on the power side, I wanted the biggest possible propellers, so I went with 2" ones. As far as I can tell, the Gemfan props are a little quieter than the Racerstar 2035s, and they are ever so slightly bigger, so I thought they were great. I still wanted some decent range, so I went with the VTX03, keep reading..

After a season with a Wizard, I'v decided to build a higher end drone and it had to be a Chameleon. Trying not to break the bank but still get the best of the latest tech.
