A long, long time ago, there was a dream... ok, no so long time ago. At the beginning of the 2018 I started to thinking about all a round quad frame that is light, small enough, simple and easy to maintain. And more important, the Runcam's Split Mini should fit inside nicely. So started to 3d modelling it in Fusion 360. After few versions and prototype printings, there was finally the result I could send for cutting from the carbon fibre sheet.
I'm familliar with Pyro-Drone's Floss v2 and Toothfairy 3" and also with Cherrycraft's Sprout. Those are woderful frames. But none of them suite my thoughts. So designed own version.
So I ended up with these:
For 4 pcb stack there should be 25mm standoffs. For 2 pcb use 20mm standoffs. Widely opened front area for micro camera allow many usage styles. You can mount camera at the lowest position for better protection or highest position with an agle to hide props from the camera view. Minimalistic camera mount is printed in 95A TPU.
There is also a combined mount for Unify Nano VTX and R-XSR RX, printed in 95A tpu. This mount keeps stuff organized and the antenna from unify nano goes directly to top plate's antenna hole. There you can mount a SMA plug or just zip tie the antenna.
At the bottom plate, there is a pockets to hide M2 FC mounting screws from damaging the lipo pack.
Also created new way to mount RX antennas to the quad's arms. Formerly used the zip ties and heat shrinks to mount an antennas. But the zip ties are not flexible enough to take impacts or being catched by the wood's branches :D So this, tpu printed, mounting tube is great solution to be taped under the electric tape.
I use Nano-Tech 850mAh 4S lipo, but flew also with 1300mAh 4S and this quad flew amazingly also with it!
In the photos, you see the gps sensor mounted on top with the mount for Beitian BN-220 sensor.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Nice! How would you say this frame compares to the Tooth Fairy? Pros/Cons between them?
Based on my preference:
