There's nothing like some cool watermelon on a hot summer day! This is the RAD-X frame that came back in April's KwadBox. It's a single 4mm bottom plate, with a 2mm top plate designed by the crew over at XHover. I dropped the original standoffs from 30mm down to 25mm and loaded it up with the parts in the list below. This is my first time using a set of Hyperlite motors and they seem really nice so far. The 30a ESCs are from Hobbywing now running the latest version of BLHeli_32 with some custom startup music. The motors run nice and smooth on DShot1200. The DYS F4 Pro is running the latest version of ButterFlight. The 3D printed parts are from Brain3D and they never disappoint. This is also my first time using a Mach2 VTX from RDQ. So far it seems just as nice as the Tramps I've used in all my other builds. I really liked being able to mount it in the stack, and the piece of mind from the MMCX connector is nice. This was a really easy frame to build as there was a ton of room for everything. So far I've only flown around the house as the 105+ degree weather has kept me grounded during the day, but I hope to get some twilight flights in tonight, and I'll be up extra early to go flying tomorrow morning.

Nice build! I just got one of these frames and was thinking about what color scheme to go with and I would have never thought of the green and pink but it looks really cool!

Thanks! It's a great frame to build. I got all the 3D parts from Brian3D.

This thing looks so '92... in a good way.

Thanks! I have a '92 Trans Am in the garage so I'm all about that year!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
