The OmnibusF4 had video blacking out and random resets. Swapped in the HGLRC AirbusF4. Now, with the EWRF e709TM3 and Foxeer Lollipop 2 I get the best video ever. I got an RSSI warning at the far end of the field while the video was still all good.
Rebuilt again after breaking an arm. RSSI was dropping cuz of a broken RX antenna. So I swapped the FC/VTX and RX with the same combo I used on my second FlosStyle build. The two builds are now the same other than the motors. Dropped the motor guards and used 1mm plastic washers and 2.5mm O-rings to lift and dampen the motors some, this is required to give the motor shaft C-clip space to move without getting snagged on the frame or pre-cut soft-mounts. I burned a few motors out on prior builds before I figured out the plastic washer and rubber O-ring sandwich.
Replaced the og aluminum flange locknuts for the arm plate sandwich with Carbon Steel. Much tighter now without stripping. I'd say the weakest point in the excellent FlosStyle frame kit are the included aluminum flange locknuts -- those are garbage and will strip before you can tighten down the arm sandwich proper.
Leaving the original build pics here to show a neat way to mount that type of VTX in a FlosStyle.
In late 2019 DJI made inroads into the FPV scene with their remarkable low-latency digital system. It gave us a 720p video feed with latency on-par with the status quo, analog video. Traditionally we've used analog video systems for low-latency video, but the video quality is far from ideal. It's a trade-off we've been willing to accept for the control. Now we've got the best of both worlds and what..
Read moreWhen the FatShark HDOs hit the market in 2018 the FPV community rejoiced for the new Sony OLED displays. While they lacked further upgrades like an updated DVR and power button they were still a market success. With the 2019 announcement of the Orqa FPV.One the community finally had a potential HDO killer on the horizon. With only weeks before the release of the Orqa FPV.One Skyzone came out of left..
