SpaceOne FPV meteor build. This is the second quad I have built, and it's take like a month because I had to stop after July (School) and was only working 1-2hours a week to begin with. I originally used a Hyperlite f4, but the usb port broke off, and I've been waiting for that hobbywing to come on sale.
Update:
Flew a few times with the hobbywing xrotor f4, but for some reason the yaw gyro feed cut out on one of them. Catalyst Machineworks sent out another one, and that one's yaw gyro didn't work out of the box. Never bothered with a third, meteor has not flown since.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

How sure are you it's a busted gyro? Have you tried adding a capacitor to the system? You can put it on the power leads for the FC, or where the battery joins the PDB. Add >750uf, and have it rated for at least 35v
I did. The way I concluded it was a bad gyro was by plugging it in to BF and looking at the axis outputs when I moved the quad. The yaw axis wouldn't respond on either of the Xrotor F4s.
I thought that might be what you meant, oh well. That's a bummer getting 2 bad boards in a row. I hope you get motivated to finish it soon!
Thank you!
