Chameleon Ti

This is my third Chameleon build... Yes I love the Chameleon :-). This one though is the Ti version and I did select a brand new set of components that I wanted to try.

To keep everything as simple as possible, I opted for an AIO FC with the stackable VTX instead of my favourite one (the tramp). It has an F7 FC with blheli32 ESC. I am not sure how much is the total capacitance of these ESC (the number of caps onboard is not that huge) so for precautions I added four 330uF low esr caps. Going forward I will probably continue this practice after having seen a video that demonstrate the benefits of using low esr caps.

At a first look, while configuring the quad I did notice one thing in particular: the motors runs super smooth! Not too sure how to best describe it but the sounds is very different from any other quad I have built so far. Is this thanks to blheli32? Or the ESC or the motors? Who knows… Can’t wait to maiden the new baby ;-)

Re camera... Unfortunately I could not find any black eagle 2, so I had to opt for the standard orange one… bad luck. Anyway so far this is has been the best camera for me but I have decided to try out a predator mini v3... which I will install in one of my new projects (based on the Armattan marmotte or the ImpulseRC Reverb). Stay tuned.

How did you make the wiring diagrams? Or did you find them online? It looks handy for planning the build.

Wow, very professional. It'd be cool if there was a program for that

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
