First build. Began work in October, maidened on Christmas day. So far so good! No major mishaps, just a tweaked prop here and there.

I had issues getting the receiver to communicate with the flight controller. In the end I broke out the signal wire from the Spektrum connector and soldered it directly to the S.Bus/Serial UART, which solved the issue.

Some other info:
TX: Spektrum DX6
Goggles: Eachine EV800

Transmitter is good, definitely a quality product, though part of me wishes I opted for the Taranis for the openess and features.

The EV800 goggles seem like a great set for entry-level, and the detachable monitor feature is very nice. The VAS antenna set works great for video.

With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
