This was my first build and i tried to focus on keeping the weight down as much as possible and making it fly great, i've messed around with battery mounting top bottom and now middle from my own testing something about the mid mount felt cleaner and more locked its not the most elegant looking but hey it works, overall i feel i did a decent job but i would definitely change a few thing if i were to start over
The Frame: this frame has been through a BEATING and still the worst damage it has is a few chips on the carbon and scratches on the titanium, armattan has done a excellent job with this frame and its kinda of mind bogling how strong it really is, im sure i could break it if i really wanted to but unless you're flying at a pole at 80 mph i doubt you will be able to break this frame from normal freesytle, the one gripe i do have with the frame is motor protection, i feel like the arms could extend just a little more to offer more protection (i know there are 3d printed part that offer this but thats another 15-20 grams more and im picky about weight lol)
Things i would change: if were to start over i would change the motors, its not that theyre bad motors they fly great and are very smooth its just the weight each motor is around 36 grams without the wire and i feel this very heavy considering HyperLite motors weigh in at the 26-28 gram mark
Weight 597g with GoPro session and battery
And for those wondering how i did the mid mount i was actually pretty easy all i did was squeeze the battery straps through to 2 holes on the top plate as seen in the picture below
