Toothpick with decased DJI air unit! Full HD recording in a sub 100g (before lipo) bird. Not recommended for a starter build, but this thing is awesome.

Great build!

I know I'm late to the party, but: Any chance you can share the STL or files for the 3D printed parts? Cheers!

do you have cad you could share of the de-cased air unit?

Wow, and I was worried a vista wouldn't fit in this thing - lol
Great design work on the 3D printed parts. Are they on thingiverse?

This is amazing!! Would you mind sharing your 3D printed parts please? I want to build something really similar on this frame!

Thank you so much!

how does the air unit hold up without a case? is there any range or video signal degredation?

MayMayDay   Apr 26, 2020

I haven't had issues yet. But I don't have extensive knowledge of a standard AU, as all mine are decased. 🤣

lol well now i know that the air unit at least doesnt overheat without a case ill have to try it out on my 3in

Very, very impressive. This I am most jealous of. How badly are the props in view?

Not terribly. Clear props would make them less obvious. My deadcat frame doesn't have prop view issues, this bird is more for the fun flying.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
