Due to requests, I post my Transformer Mini build.
Specs:
-Emax ECO 1404 3700kv (3-4S)
-Kakute F7 mini + Mamba 30A 20x20 esc (used from F405Mini MK2 Stack)
-Caddx Nebula
-leightweigt prodrone.pl Vee Antenna
-Crossfire Nano RX + minimortal Antenna
-HQ 4025 Props
-BN 180 GPS
I stripped down the Vista for saving some weight. Dry weight is now @133,9g.
If you want to save more weight (~4-5g), go with a AIO FC like the HIFIONRC F7 25A.
Without GPS and with the AIO you should be able to get to ~123g dry weight. That would be the lightest 4" deadcat rig out there.
Flight time 13min using Turnigy nanotech 850mah 45C 4S (95g). Still lots of room left to 250g.
I´m waiting right now for the lightweight GNB 1100mah 4S to arrive (88g weight), that should be enough for at least 15-16min of flight time being at only 222g AUW.
Update:
-Battery arrived, tests will follow...
-added link to GPS munt
-added link to Antenna mount
Some flight footage:
And finally testetd for max flight time in sub250g configuration:
This looks like the next build for me, I've ordered the frame and was wondering how you like the eco motors? Trying to decide between eco and BetaFPV. I have naked vista on a nano goblin and think it would work well the way you have done it here.
This looks like a perfect next build for me? I'm particularly interested in using it for long range cruising . What tuning changes did you make for 2s
This is great man. Thank you. I already have whiffles build working great but might borrow a few changes from this build. Possible to share the stl files for the printed parts?
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
