Short Story
Printed in PLA
frame weight is 9g / about 14g with canopy
49g dry / 70g with 300mah 2s
Flies just a like a carbon frame.
Crashes like.... I don't know yet :)
I barely had to adjust my pids

Long Story
I've always wondered what the Pickle Evo would like as a stretch X instead of the deadcat layout. I mirrored the back arms and added some sturcture to the center of the frame. My first version fit 3" props, but I didn't like how flexible the arms were and the only fix was to add more support (which would add more weight). So, I brought the arms closer to the center of the frame and is designed for 65mm props. With the shorter arms, the center frame is only about 3mm and the thickest part of the arms is about 6mm. The frame weighs about 9 grams. With the canopy and stand off, it is about 14 grams.
I had to lower my p gain in betaflight just a bit for the 300mah 2s. I should probably use something like 450mah 2s with these motors.

Planned improvements
Add a little more material around the mounting holes that hold the front canopy and rear canopy
smooth out details around the arms
motor mounting holes are a little tight. will adjust to 2.1mm
I need to design a canopy for nano camera
possibly need to have 3 mounting mounts for the canopy, but currently there is no jello and holding up to minor tumbles.

Parts
Super_s Stack (yeah... I still have a couple)
akk 25mw aio cam with osd/smart audio
gemfan 65mm props

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
