I made some changes from my earlier 65mm 3D printed racer.
This version takes AIO boards instead of 16x16 stacks
I shortened the distance between the front and rear arms
Frame weight is about 9g
Dry weight of quad is 51g
flown with 3s 380mah-450mah
It flies, but not as good as I would like. I couldn't use the props shown in the pictures. I used Gemfan 65mm props instead to reduce the vibrations. If I were to fly it on 2s, i could probably get away with using other props. However, I mainly fly 3s and the combination of 3s/1203 motors is just a little too much power for how flexible the frame is. I did adjust the pids some, but I think it would require a lot dedicated flights to get a good tuen for it. I'm going to try an make some improvements to get more rigidity in the arms without adding too much weight. Another option would be to use 1103 motors instead and see if the reduced motor weight will be enough to reduce vibes.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Nice! Have you ever played with carbon fiber infused PLA? It's easy to print, and although I've never printed the same model with PLA and carbon PLA, it does seem a bit more rigid. For something like quad vibes, it might be helpful.
I haven't used that type of PLA yet. That's a good suggestion and I will probably give it a try after I find a design that works well. I think my problem comes from instability at the ends of the arms due to the torque of the motors. If I add a brace between the two front motors or two back motors, the vibrations decrease. I see other 3d printed frames such as the Calimero and Echo that use arms that support both sides of the motor. This makes a huge difference.
