Pickle-Pod 5"

Hi. I am Pickle-Pod. I have been combined using the arms from the 5 inch TBS Source Podracer and the top plate from the Pickle Race Series by ledrone.club and EverythingMicroFpv.
By the time the flimsy bottom plate of the beloved podracer gave up, it was time for something new. In addition, the mounting of the caddx vista on top of the AIO inside the podracer canopy was too fragile, so I wanted to have some solid carbon for that. Parts from the Pickle-Race and Five33 came to my mind. Since the one piece bottom plates of the Pickle-Race 5 are too expensive to get cut in Europe, there had to be a different solution.
Middle plates and bottom plates from the TBS Source Podracer have been redesigned as well as some braces. There is a middle plate version for the Fettec AIO G4 and a version for a standard 25mm AIO. Both fit with ease and I have built both variants. There is space behind the vista for a CAP and BEC, the RX can be placed in front of the vista behind the camera. There is just enough space for 5.1" props even if the 19mm nebula pro camera is used. Things are even more relaxed when using the nebula nano. Most pictures show 4.5" props, though.
As with the Pickle-Race, 25mm M3 standoffs are used. However, the hardware used for the arms of the podracer and the FC are M2 screws.

The 1607 is a reasonably beefy stator for a 5" prop, but I wonder how the 2004 did (it's 1/3 smaller, but probably gets better cooling)? Racer esque weight makes for easy control, so I could see the smoller motor still working well. Did you fly both sets?
Both motors don't get warm with my flying style. I don't do racing. I don't like the Betafpv 2004 because they pick up much dirt and then sound awful when turning by hand. The Mamba Toka 2004 have a shield underneath and I like them better.
Volume wise the 2004 are only 10% smaller but they are lighter. Since my version is 6s and the 1607 are 4s, the weight difference is eaten up by my battery choice.
