*I named the drone after my favourite drink ;) Flight Footage at the bottom.
Helloo, this is my first FPV drone build and after quite a bit of research and viewing pre-existing builds (like bnf and custom built drones) I decided to make a 2S 2 Inch. Size was one of the biggest influencing factor as I live in Germany and the laws are quite strict here as well as finding a decent spot to fly restricting a lot of the bigger sized quads from fully stretching their wings. Additionally, I also wanted to build a drone in such a way that is portable and I mean p o r t a b l e. I chose to wire two 1S batteries in series to create a 2S battery and I am able to charge the 1S on the go with my 20,000mAh power bank. This allows me to enjoy flying as long as I want and I would only be limited to either my goggle batteries, controller batteries and the power bank itself, which can be easily avoided with a little bit of caution XD
Note: I had a few electronics that I bought for a previous build that I gave up on so I was limited by those components to fully optimize this build. If you plan on building this quad or a similar quad please take notes of the comments in italics :)
To anyone reading about this build or blog(?) I hope you enjoy it :)
My Gear
Fatshark Attitude V6 (Stock patch & TrueRC omni, Stock receiver module, 2S 3000mAh GNB for FPV goggles)
RadioMaster Pocket
Batteries
*(two are needed and the Lava or Tattu usually comes in a pack of 5 so I recommend buying 2 packs with the 1S 6Port Vifly Whoopstor v3 charger/discharger)
1s 300mAh BT2.0 HV (2~4 minutes of flight)
or
1s 550mAh BT2.0 HV (5~7 minutes of flight)
Frame
*The CUB-AIO frame needs a bit of modifying for the components I am using but it makes the build lighter and have longer flight time.
There are 2 options:
used: AlfaRC cub-aio 2" (14 grams) --> (~12 grams after mod, I used this frame)
AlfaRC Apex 2" (18 grams) (no mod needed)
Mod:
You have to cut off the gopro(?) mounting holes for the batteries to sit on the top as well as cut parts of the inside for the caddx Ant Nano plug to sit properly.
Motors
used: RCinpower 1202.5 11500kv (2 screws are sufficient when mounting) (3.8 grams)
Props
Hurricane 2008-2 (0.5 grams)
Hurricane 2015-2 (0.5 grams)
*2008 for longer time and cruising, 2015 for a little bit more oomph ;)
AIO
DarwinFPV F411 15A AIO (FC+ESC+RX) ELRS (cheaper but 5.5 grams) You can take out the capacitor but I'd leave it in there XD
Happymodel CrazyF405 HD 1-2S 12A AIO (FC+ESC+ELRS RX) (4.8 grams)
used: Here I was limited to the SpeedyBee F4 AIO 40A because of my prev failed build coming in at 14 grams...rip
And I also had to use an external ELRS RX (Happymodel elrs nano receiver)
VTX
used: Happymodel Diamond VTX 25mW ~ 200mW (3 grams) But has micro sd card slot ;) Check Footage
Zeus nano VTX 25mW ~ 350mW (2.4 grams)
VTX Antenna
I personally used the antenna that came with the Diamond VTX but if you want the best quality here are some suggestions ;)

Camera
used: Caddx Ant Nano (4:3) (2 grams)
*Please choose the screen ratio that is Native to your FPV goggles. HANDS DOWN the best camera to fly with at night with light from lamp poles.
Footage
Please Download the video first before viewing as the google drive video player drops the quality A LOT.

TIPS
Get the BT2.0 plugs
Fingerboard Skateboard foam griptape can be used as rubber pads for lipos ;)
I have personally used the Speedybee F4 AIO with a 2S and works perfectly, it is rated for 3-6S but works with 2s as well.
If you have any questions or comments please do so XD Thank you.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
