This build is based on the Equinox frame from Meteor Dynamics, and honestly, it’s one of the cleanest and most solid 5-inch frames I’ve used. It’s lightweight, super sturdy, and everything about the design feels well thought out. I built this one to be simple, reliable, and just fun to fly — something I could take out any day and know it’ll perform.

I’m using a Darkmatter BRAHMA F4 MK-II flight controller with a T-Motor 45A V2 4-in-1 ESC, and powering it with XING-E Pro 2207 1800KV motors running Ethix P3.3 Mango Lassi props. This setup has a really good balance of power and control — it can rip when you punch the throttle, but it also stays smooth and easy to handle when you’re just cruising around.

For the video feed, I’ve got a Caddx Ratel2 camera paired with a GEPRC Maten 1.6W VTX, and the image quality is awesome for analog. It’s clear, with almost no breakup, and has great range. The wiring and stack came together nicely too — the frame has just enough space for everything without being bulky.

In the air, this thing feels locked in. The Equinox frame handles vibrations really well, and the balance makes it super predictable in turns, dives, or quick rolls. It just feels right — stable, responsive, and confidence-inspiring.

Overall, this 5-inch build turned out exactly how I hoped. It’s smooth, powerful, and fun — the kind of quad that makes you want to keep flying “just one more pack.â€
