Presenting the AirBlade Eclair Plus 2.5". No prop in view with camera angle about 25deg and up. This thing is amazing on Butterflight 3.5.
*Optional: crank up Yaw P to about 85-90 for better yaw authority.
The side plate on this frame is interchangable with the regular AirBlade Eclair 2" and 2.5".
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

How well does this fly? ive got quite a few 2-4 inch setups already, but ive never flown a plus frame. how would you describe it? Do you like it better? Ive been looking at this frame and the 2.5 inch diatone plus frame.
i really like how it flies. It's currently my favourite 2.5" frame. i can definitely feel the tighter rolls, but the part i'm most impressed about is the precise yaw control and stable pitch feel.
if you go on youtube ans search for " 2.5" eclair plus regional qualifier", you will find a video from Matt Bennett. have a look at that
Wow, thats very impressive! I might have to build this next. Im looking to build a quad for my little brother and wanted to build him something unique that'd he would truly enjoy so that he sticks with it. This looks perfect! Thanks for your help!
My pleasure. Feel free to ping me if you have any more questions
I heard that this was going to be built in a 3" option. Do you happen to know when that might be? I'd like to use the airblade superman motors, but I think they would be better suited for a 3 inch frame and so far only diatone makes a 3 inch plus, but I really prefer the eclair. I love the rear facing side arms.
They're being tested right now.
