Gosp.Kliještić is an exercise in building a small and light quad: an X3 at 107g without the battery.
The frame is a Storm Moby-X3, a nice quality carbon frame with 4mm base plate and 20mm mounting holes. Comes with a complement of screws, standoffs, damping orings and battery straps.
Moby-X3 supports 11xx and 13xx motors, but for a light build 1105 4000kv motors turned out to be a nice fit.
The downside is that the T style props for those motors require hard to find M2x7mm screws, but luckily they came with the frame.
HGLRC F428 20x20mm stack includes an F4 FC with OSD, 4-in-1 28A ESC and a variable power VTX with a small linear antenna.
The antenna and VTX look underwhelming (UFL connector, small linear antenna) but the video link is performing very well, perhaps even better than my other quads with stronger VTX and CP antennas.
The ESC and the FC are connected by onboard pins/socket, reducing the wire clutter.
I used a bit of epoxy for securing the USB connector on the FC as people reported it tends to break off. Low strength loctite is recommended for small and/or aluminium screws, higher strengths can cause them to strip.
It flies very stable and responsive with default betaflight settings, 5 min flight time drains a 3S 850mAh battery to storage voltage.
Like the anntenae.
That R617XL has realy looong antennas, they are responsible for the name (Mr. Krabs from the cartoon)
