This is my lowered TBS Source One. Original standoffs were replaced with 20mm standoffs for a condensed build. I have been flying an Xhover Stingy for the past year and wanted to try something new. Really wanted to check out the Source One, but without giving up the COG of my current Stingy builds. FC is a tight fit which made individual ESCs on the arms necessary as a 4-1 ESC will not fit. Still need to design and print some ESC covers.
The original Source One camera mount didn’t work with the shorter 20mm standoffs so I created a RunCam Micro cam mount that can be downloaded from Thingiverse. Additionally, the top plate will need to modified a bit to fit the camera, I have attached a picture of the where the top plate needs to be dremeled.
This build turned out to be a great flyer with a nice familiar feel to the COG. The Source Once frame is very sturdy and lowering it has made it even more resilient to crash damage. Overall, I'm happy with how it turned out. Thanks for looking! :)
Where'd you get that micro camera mount from?
Nvm, I see where you said you printed it yourself. I'm going to try to have a friend locally print one for me. I wanna try this out.
Nice man. The mount has worked really well so far. Hope you are able to get it printed. :)
Got a friend to print it locally. I'm gonna start my mock up now!
Awesome! Be sure to let us know how it turns out.
