With exception of the VTX, this is about the cheapest I could get a great performance quad. Right at $200 with the optional LED/buzzer and some motor protectors. We have started a "spec racing" class based on the package deal from Banggood using this or the non-clone frame, The 20A RacerStar ESC, The 2205 2300kv RacerStar motors, King Kong 5040 tri props, and your choice of any F1 or F3 flight controller. FPV system and radio is pilots choice. We've been very happy with the performance so far. Check the link for some footage and build tips. http://www.musiccitymultirotorclub.com/index.php/events1/blog/53-music-city-multirotor-club-announces-new-spec-class-racing

I've been looking for a 3D printed camera protection just like the one you have. Is it your own design? Would you be willing to share it? I'd be much obliged ;)

It is 3D printed. This is in ABS and a first revision. Another guy is doing the design for me so we have some tweaks to make for it to fit better. It does look great though and he did a good job. After this next revision I'll see how it is and if he's willing to share on thingiverse.

Is there any new development by any chance? Thanks!

What sort of batteries are you running on these?

1300mah 4s of any flavor really. The 2300kv motor and 5040 tri prop combo isn't extremely taxing.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
