This was a fun little experiment, I ordered the wrong frame to use with the Happymodel 1102's so decided to build it up with a mix of new and used parts. This quad as built gets rid of some of the quirks of the 1102 version but absolutely destroys 300mah 3s batteries. I'm going to try some 450's but with the extra weight we are getting away from what this frame was made for. My initial plan for motors was the RotorRiot 1104 dabs but the mounting tabs for the Dabs were 45 degrees off.

Nice build. Wish I soldered the motor leads right to the board like that. If you want to stay light, I recommend trying stiff 65mm bi-props, before moving to a larger battery. Not sure who makes the best tho.

sadly there are no 65mm props for the 1,5mm motorshafts
(or does change this?)

Gemfan is remaking their 65mm props in polycarbonate sadly I have not been able to find them in stock. I do have a extra set that came with my sailfy that are 1.5mm, i'll give those a try. The extra weight of the 2540's and screws probably is a good 3-5 grams. The one problem is that the shafts on the 1103's are short and the 1.5mm props don't have a good bite on them. I may try to drill a set of 1mm to 1,5 just really short so they get some grip.
