AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I really like the way your reciever carrage angles your antenni. The angle on the SMA connector, coupled with lifting the rx above it makes a nice fitment. Can you get a battery strap back there? Are you a 1 battery strap kind of person? I think if you drop the reciever 3-4mm mm you could run a strap through there, and maintain all your other necessiary clearances. Obv you designed that 3d printed part, so I assume you can make that mod easily (if you care to).
Also: OH SNAP YOU USE RADIOLINK!!!!!!!
I have been scoping the stats on those radios, and the look amazing. How do you like it? Is it a good long range option? I'd rather just have the range built in, and not get a module, but that's what i'm looking at right now. Which Tx do you have? Anything you can think of to tell me about your raido would be so appreciated.
hey, whats been going good with yah?
I have a AT9 tx an a r9 rx! you can have it if you want it. I got it off eBay with a storm 270mm quad, it came in the box an its been barely used.
let me know?
Yes, I am 1 strap kind of person but I actually think your idea is pretty good. I might consider to test to be a 2 strap kind of person. After all there are more fun things to do then go hunting lipos in tall grass. Especially when you know that they might be eaten by a sheep if you don't find them.
As far as the radio goes I have nothing bad to say about it. I have used it since I got into this hobby 3-4 years ago (the only thing I still use of stuff I had back then) and I have never ever had a single failsafe so I would say it is pretty reliable. I use the Radiolink AT9. I have seen videos where people get several kilometers of range with it and in the range test Rotorriot did, maybe not the most scientific test, but anyway it performed very good. The only thing I dislike about is that the colour screen is not very easy to read in sunlight. On the other hand you dont look at the screen very much.
Dude.... that's amazing, I would love that! I HAVE had some failsafes.
what what radio do you have?
I have I have the Spektrum dx6e transmitter West the STS long number receiver and I had no problems but the radio link I'll send it to you let me get the box and ship and stuff
