I'd been watching some of Evan Molina's YouTube vids, and drooling over that sexy NomadUAV Raven frame and the props-in-view HD footage. So, when it came time to build myself a 5" GoPro platform, I put a ring on that beauty and made her mine.

It's a tight build, so I went with the Lumenier ALPHA AIO, and there was just barely enough room under it for a TBS Unify Pro HV, and above it for a FrSky R-XSR. As Evan pointed out on his build, rotating the camera up gives easy access to the USB port on the FC.

She flies beautifully on BF 4.1 stock PIDs. I've tried both 5040 and 5043 props, and I prefer the latter. A flying buddy calls my clear 5043 props "invisi-scary".

I used motors I had on hand, some EMax redbottoms, and they are really cramping my monochrome style. Future work would be to use a black XT60, black power lead, and black motors and go full film-noir.

Update January 2020: This is my new favorite quad. I did find out that the first Lumenier ALPHA FC had a bad gyro which was causing some bad behavior at high angular rates. GetFPV/Lumenier was cool about replacing it, and the new board is perfect.
